Branding a new era for Seattle's tallest building.

At 76 stories, Columbia Center is the tallest building in Seattle and the fourth-tallest on the West Coast.

Recently completing a transformative renovation to the building’s communal spaces, the team at CBRE wanted a brand that spoke to the lightness and approachability of the new spaces. From the ground up, we redesigned the Columbia Center brand to welcome in this new era.

Among the most striking components will be the upgraded main entry on Fourth Avenue. The dark canopy is being replaced with a three-story glass curtain wall, which will lead inside to what URG calls a "grand feature staircase" between the first and second floors.

Approachability was achieved through a comprehensive rebrand that instilled a lightness and friendliness to every facet of the brand from the property’s new thin-stroked logo to its inviting color-palette, textures, and graphic treatments.

The new website focuses on creating a welcoming and informative user experience by highlighting the building’s communal spaces with activated photography and videography.

The goal of the recent renovations was to update the “communal spaces for life at human scale.”

New messaging and a full-suite of marketing assets communicate Columbia Center’s story and showcase the positive feedback of the renovations.
