Dapper has been growing and innovating since 1989.
For many of our customers we serve as their out-sourced, in-house design team. We help bridge the gap between concept and execution, where brand meets world, whether it is on a screen, a sheet of paper or the side of a building.
Our size is to our and your advantage. There’s still room around our table for everyone at our morning meetings. Without extra layers the creative process is open and dynamic. Our customers trust us and the success of their campaigns and brand strategies are what we strive to achieve each and every day.
Pete heads up Dapper as Founder and Creative Director. His love of design began with drawing The Who logo 10,000 times on Pee-Chee folders, desks and friends’ forearms. He now strives to get his customers’ logos on anything that stands still long enough. He’s built a company culture founded on creativity, collaboration, inquisitiveness and Panang chicken. He brings talent and experience, both technical and creative, ranging from web to print. During his 20 years of experience Pete has created notable work for even more notable companies.
Pete has a BA from UW in Art History where he studied to be Indiana Jones. Pete can often be found on a soccer field, heading to a soccer field or returning from a soccer field. He resides part time in the Methow Valley at his fortress of solitude with superwoman Monica and his greatest works, sons Dan, Joe and Brendan.
Brian started as Dapper’s copywriter and go-to grammarian in 2006. He still fills those roles but has since developed as a print and web designer, combining his passion for communication and design to manage and contribute to a variety of projects.
He’s travelled the country, living in Chicago, Florida, New Mexico, Ohio, and Alaska before settling in Seattle. He graduated from the University of New Mexico with a BA in English Literature and studied graphic and web design at Seattle’s School of Visual Concepts. Before Dapper, he freelanced for Jacksonville, Florida’s Folio Weekly, covering fine arts and film.
Hannah joined the Dapper team in 2011 after graduating from the Visual Communication program at Seattle Pacific University. Growing up in the small town of Snohomish, WA gave her an appreciation for the energy and creativity of the big city, which continues to inspire her every day. While at Dapper, Hannah has grown to love image and video editing, especially After Effects. She has also managed large-scale internal and external campaigns for Comcast and CDK.
When not in the office, she can probably be found exploring fun restaurants and neighborhoods around the city and drinking her morning coffee on the front porch.
Chris joined the Dapper team in March 2013 after moving from the heartland of Kansas, trading the flat prairies for the mountainous beauty of the Pacific Northwest. His working midwestern roots left him relishing the opportunity to work in any design medium that comes his way. After owning and operating a screen printing and letterpress company, he flipped the switch and took on the digital frontier. Today he is just as comfortable designing a fully functional responsive website as he is creating a cross-platform brand campaign. Chris graduated with BAs in Graphic Design & Art History from Wichita State University. After graduating, he spent two months backpacking with his sister across Europe, taking in the sites and trying all the delicious foods that each country had to offer.
In his free time, you can find him in the kitchen cooking extravagant meals, going hiking in the mountains or designing band posters for his bluegrass buddies back home.
Since joining Dapper, Mark has found himself working on a variety of projects, from print to web, signage to branding. He enjoys the mix of creativity and problem-solving that design offers, and appreciates the opportunity to utilize several different skills on a daily basis.
Originally from Atlanta, Mark earned a degree in neuroscience and taught English in Taiwan before he realized that doodling in the margins and laying out worksheets was what he enjoyed most. He went back to school and earned a BA in Graphic Design from California College of the Arts. After graduating, he moved with his wife from the Bay Area up to the beautiful PNW to ply his trade.
During his off hours, he enjoys spending time with his wife and baby boy. He has a new interest seemingly every couple weeks, but some of the more consistent ones are hiking, driving on backroads, watching Seattle sports, listening to music, and reading.
Kayla joined the Dapper Team in 2011. As a Seattle native, she returned home after graduating with a Bachelor of Arts in Communication degree from Villanova University. After working among creatives in the photography industry, her passion for design encouraged her to go back to school where she received her certificate in Graphic Design from the Art Institute of Seattle. She considers herself very lucky to be doing what she loves everyday.
She resides in West Seattle with her husband and golden retriever, Murray, enjoys spending time with her nieces and nephew, and gets excited over interior design ideas and planning her next house project.
Chelsea’s interest in art and design started early on, but she discovered her true passion for graphic design in college. After graduating with a BA in Design Arts from Lehigh University in Pennsylvania where she focused on branding and web design, she moved to New York City and delved into the advertising world. Her career in advertising took her from New York to Santa Monica, and eventually up to Seattle. Since joining Dapper in September 2015, she has been happy to be focusing back on branding and web design full time.
When she’s not on the computer or scribbling in one of her hundreds of notebooks, she’s likely to be finding new places to eat, do yoga, watch the sunset, or splurge on new (unnecessary) notebooks.
Jeremy bid farewell to Orange County’s sunny blue skies to attend Cornish College of the Arts in 2010 where he earned his BFA in Visual Communications. While in school, he interned at Dandy Co., where he received firsthand experience working in the design field. In 2014, he traveled to Europe and in the Netherlands, met one of his design idols, Karl Martians; this Dutch designer inspired Jeremy to design and publish his own magazine for graduation. Shortly after graduation, he began interning with Dapper in 2015, which lead to his current position as Junior designer. At Dapper, Jeremy brings a fun, innovative approach to his wide range of creative work including print, web, illustrating, and branding.
When Jeremy isn’t creating projects for Dapper, you can find him spending time with his extensive Sri Lankan family, having jam sessions on his guitar with friends, playing with his dog Kenji, snowboarding, paddle boarding or kayaking, and exploring Seattle on his motorcycle.
Cheryl manages Dapper’s accounts. She brings years of experience to the table in account management and all things financial. She graduated from the University of Washington with a degree in Accounting and is an avid Husky and Gonzaga sports fan. You’ll find her attending games all over the West coast and spending time with her husband, two sons and dog.
